WINNIPEG, MANITOBA –Laddie Hutchison’s Canadian Tire – Regent store, has signed on to be the presenting sponsor of the Mike Weir Miracle Golf Drive for Kids which tees off in Winnipeg this summer in support of the Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba Inc.

“Being the presenting sponsor of this tournament is a great opportunity for our Canadian Tire store to show support for the children of our employees and customers who may have benefited from the work of the Children’s Hospital Foundation in some manner. It’s going to be a great event for our city and we are so proud to be a part of it,” Laddie Hutchison, president of the Canadian Tire – Regent Avenue store said.

The Mike Weir Miracle Golf Drive for Kids is a national fundraising initiative with a goal of raising $10 million for children’s health care causes across the country. Mike Weir is stopping in Winnipeg for an event that will include a golf tournament, a sponsor reception, a junior pro-am event and a Gala Dinner spread over the course of two days, June 6 –7, 2010. The tournament will take place at the St. Charles Country Club.

The event co-chairs, Mark Gray and Curtis Gray said, “The Children’s Hospital Foundation welcomes Laddie Hutchison’s Canadian Tire store on Regent as the presenting sponsor of the Mike Weir Miracle Golf Drive for kids in support of the Foundation. This relationship will help drive the Foundation’s goals of raising and distributing funds for the advancement of knowledge and care in the fields of child health and child health research in our region. “
